Brandon Weaver, DC, MS
Dr. Brandon Weaver has always had a keen interest in health and fitness. He attended Iowa State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and health. While completing his coursework, Brandon enjoyed working with clients as a Certified Person Trainer. He discovered that educating and supporting his clients in taking steps towards life changes in exercise and healthy eating was rewarding. However, Dr. Weaver also recognized his limitations and decided to further his education to expand his skillset in helping others to achieve overall health.
Dr. Weaver and his wife, Sarah, moved to Portland, Oregon so that he could attend a highly regarded school with a strong foundation in evidence based medicine, the University of Western States. Brandon successfully completed his program cum laude. Dr. Weaver’s coursework was grounded in the latest chiropractic, nutrition and rehabilitation techniques. Brandon took a special interest in rehabilitation and sport performance and decided to duel enroll in a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine program. This specialized focus provided Brandon with the training needed to educate athletes on the latest nutrition research and practice sports injury rehabilitation procedures. After graduation, the Weavers moved east to be closer to family and landed in beautiful northern Michigan.
Dr. Weaver believes in a holistic approach to health care. He understands how important it is to find the root cause of pain in contrast to treating only the symptoms. In practice, Dr. Weaver combines a number of therapeutic techniques, including chiropractic manipulation, corrective exercises, myofascial release, kinesiology taping and nutrition to best treat his patients. He specializes in both acute and chronic low back pain (sciatica), neck pain and shoulder pain. He also has a special interest in treating extremity injuries including: elbow, wrist, hand, knee and foot pain. Above all else, he is also a strong advocate of patient empowerment. He believes in educating his patients about the underlying cause of their pain, what they can do to prevent future injuries, and how to achieve the highest quality of life.
When Dr. Weaver is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time exercising, hunting, fishing and exploring northern Michigan’s hiking, cross county skiing and snowshoeing trails with his wife and their energetic dog, Boda.
